Job summary

Adobe is seeking a Senior Security Automation Engineer in Lehi, Utah to design and build production-grade automation, orchestration, and agentic AI systems that scale security response beyond human speed.

You will partner with Detection Engineering to convert new detection rules into automated responses, engineer enterprise APIs and connectors, and own containment automation for live incidents, shaping Adobe's security operations at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering, software engineering, or security automation with production-grade code.
• Experience designing, building, and operating enterprise-scale APIs, services, or orchestration systems.
• Hands-on experience with SOAR playbooks (Splunk SOAR, Tines, XSOAR) including custom actions.
• Advanced Python (or similar) for production automation.
• Experience building agentic AI systems for security automation.
• Understanding of incident response workflows.
• Experience integrating systems via REST APIs with detection/SIEM and IAM systems.
• Ability to work independently on unstructured problems and justify risk-based decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication; document automation logic.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation and orchestration systems across the security stack.
• Collaborate with Detection Engineering on new detection rules to engineer automation.
• Build APIs, connectors, and orchestration services for machine-speed enrichment and correlation.
• Own containment and remediation automation for incident response.
• Create policy-enforcement automation ensuring reliable upstream access control.
• Integrate automation with identity providers, endpoint/EDR, and ticketing systems via REST APIs.
• Design and deploy agentic AI systems with multi-step autonomous workflows.
• Triage production automation issues and track metrics on coverage and MTTR.
• Document automation logic for team ownership and future maintenance.
