Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Senior Professional Services Technical Architect, Security to design secure enterprise solutions for AMER clients. You will assess architectures, guide migration of CI/CD tooling, and implement GitLab security capabilities to meet frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.

You will collaborate with engineers, engagement managers, and program managers, providing technical leadership across the engagement lifecycle from pre-sales to delivery and enablement.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering secure enterprise architectures across cloud and DevSecOps.
• Proven ability to migrate CI/CD platforms with security controls.
• Ability to advise on GitLab SaaS, Self-Managed, and Dedicated deployments for security/compliance.
• Hands-on with Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of GitLab security scanning (SAST, DAST, dependencies, secrets, container).
• Experience migrating security tooling to GitLab security scanners.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead secure GitLab implementations for Professional Services client engagements.
• Advise on architecture choices for security/compliance in SaaS, self-managed, or dedicated deployments.
• Lead technical discovery to align security needs with implementation plans.
• Coordinate security tool migrations to GitLab security scanners and validate results.
• Support scoping, SOWs, and pre-sales planning with Engagement Managers.
• Mentor teams and create security-focused enablement materials.
• Partner with Training, Support, and Product teams to deliver engagements.
