Job summary
GitLab is seeking a Senior Security Compliance Engineer to support the Public Sector Compliance team, driving GRC programs and certifications for regulated customers in the U.S. and internationally.
The role focuses on FedRAMP, CMMC, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and policy-as-code implementations. As a Senior Security Compliance Engineer, you’ll collaborate with IT, Product, Engineering, Security, and Legal to embed compliance into GitLab’s SaaS and self-managed offerings while maturing the compliance
Qualifications
- Experience in GRC and cybersecurity within regulated industries.
- Proven ability to achieve and maintain security certifications (FedRAMP, CMMC, SOC 2, IRAP, ISO 27001).
- U.S. citizenship and residency required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage GRC strategies to meet FedRAMP, IRAP, and other standards.
- Lead security assessments, audits, and certification processes.
- Collaborate with IT, Product, Engineering, Security and Legal to integrate GRC into operations and tech stack.
- Automate control testing and evidence collection; implement compliance-as-code.
