Job summary

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck seeks a Senior Security Engineer/Architect in Denver to act as the firm's principal technical defender. You will shape the security roadmap, design controls across Microsoft Entra ID, Defender, and SIEM, and lead incident response with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with the CISO, and communicate security posture to clients and regulators. This role demands hands-on expertise and strategic leadership in legal services security.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in information security, with senior engineering/detection roles.
• Strong hands-on mastery of Microsoft security stack: Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel.
• Experience leading security architecture, detection engineering, and incident response initiatives at scale.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security architecture and strategy across identities, endpoints, network, data, and cloud controls.
• Own the detection engineering lifecycle in the SIEM and develop UEBA capabilities.
• Lead proactive threat hunting and translate threat intelligence into detections and improvements.
• Act as lead technical responder during significant security incidents and guide remediation.
