Job summary

Graphcore is seeking a Principal Security Architect to define and lead the end-to-end hardware and firmware security strategy for our Arm-based AI server platforms. You will set the security architecture across SOC, management controllers, firmware, virtualization, and system software.

You will drive threat modeling, secure lifecycle management, and attestation, partnering with silicon, hardware, and software teams to deliver robust protection for AI models and data in use.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent in CS/engineering/cryptography or related field.
• Extensive hardware security, SOC security, or platform architecture experience.
• Deep knowledge of Arm architecture and TrustZone.
• Experience building server security frameworks with TPMs/roots of trust.
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel, KVM, containers, and TEEs.
• Ability to convert threat analyses into engineering requirements and architecture decisions.
• Proven track record leading multi-functional technical teams without direct authority.
• Clear written and verbal communication to technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define hardware/firmware security architecture for Arm-based AI servers.
• Lead integration of Arm security framework to protect models and data in use.
• Define trust anchors, secure boot, firmware update, and key management.
• Specify security for PCIe Gen5/6 and NVMe data protection.
• Lead threat modeling for side-channel, fault injection, and supply-chain risks.
• Guide design of UEFI/Arm TF/OpenBMC security.
• Architect runtime attestation frameworks for verifiable platform identity.
• Translate security goals into engineering specs and review processes.
• Collaborate with silicon/hardware/network teams to align roadmaps.
• Evaluate threats and represent requirements in industry groups.
