Job summary

Graphcore is seeking a Staff Hardware Engineer to provide advanced operational, diagnostic, and engineering support for Arm-based hardware across lab and data center environments.

The role focuses on bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting of complex AI compute platforms, collaborating with engineering, platform, and data center teams to ensure reliability and performance of next-gen AI systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience with server hardware architectures.
• Experience analyzing hardware telemetry and power/thermal metrics.
• Hands-on with HPC or AI compute platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead break-fix troubleshooting for server blades, boards, power systems, and racks.
• Assist hardware bring-up and firmware interaction testing.
• Diagnose system failures: thermal, power, network, BIOS/BMC.
• Collaborate with server engineering for root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Support deployment and validation of new hardware platforms.
• Create SOPs, guides, and validation docs.
• Mentor junior technicians and engineers in diagnostics.
• Participate in on-call rotations during milestones.
