Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Compliance professional to help shape the future of security across its distributed network and products.

You will partner with engineering, product, and security teams to assess controls and demonstrate compliance for Akamai's infrastructure and services. You will translate requirements into technical specifications, support audits, and collaborate on remediation efforts while improving control adoption through automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience assessing security in cloud systems, Internet technologies, infrastructure, applications, and data governance.
• Expertise in PCI DSS requirements, control assessment, and audit support.
• Proven experience designing security architectures and control frameworks for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Assessing cloud, network, infrastructure, and application designs against security and compliance requirements.
• Translating requirements into technical specifications, security blueprints, and engineering guardrails.
• Supporting compliance programs, control assessments, and audits using Akamai's common control framework.
• Working with engineering and InfoSec to investigate security risks and define remediation.
• Improving adoption and monitoring of security controls through AI and automation.
