Job summary

You will partner with engineering, product, and security teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical guardrails, assess controls, and support audits. The role emphasizes designing architectures for scalable, secure distributed systems and enabling automation-driven security improvements.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant security experience.
• Experience assessing security across cloud, network, infrastructure, and applications.
• Strong knowledge of PCI DSS requirements and audit support.
• Proven ability to design security architectures and control frameworks for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess cloud, network, infrastructure, and application designs against security and compliance requirements.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications, security blueprints, and engineering guardrails.
• Support compliance programs, control assessments, and audits using Akamai's common control framework.
• Work with engineering and InfoSec to investigate security risks and define remediation.
• Improve adoption and monitoring of security controls through AI and automation.
