Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect Senior Lead to help shape the security posture of Akamai's distributed network and products.

You will evaluate designs for cloud, network, infrastructure, and applications against security and compliance requirements, and translate these into robust security blueprints and guardrails. You will partner with engineering, product, and security teams to support control assessments, audits, and remediation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience assessing security in cloud systems, Internet technologies, infrastructure, applications, and data governance.
• Expertise in PCI DSS requirements, control assessment, and audit support.
• Proven experience designing security architectures and control frameworks for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess cloud, network, infrastructure, and application designs against security and compliance requirements.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications, security blueprints, and engineering guardrails.
• Support compliance programs, control assessments, and audits using Akamai's common control framework.
• Work with engineering and InfoSec to investigate security risks and define remediation.
• Improve adoption and monitoring of security controls through AI and automation.
