Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active U.S. bar admission.
• Approximately 5+ years of structured finance, securitization, or related transactional experience.
• Strong experience with ABS, CLOs, or other asset-backed financing products.
• Ability to independently manage and execute transactions.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex structured finance documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
• Ability to work directly with senior business stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience at a leading law firm or financial institution preferred.
• Located in New York.
• Hybrid Schedule: 3 days per week-in office.

Responsibilities

• Advising on securitization, asset-backed financing, and structured products transactions.
• Leading transactions from structuring through execution and closing.
• Supporting the ABS or CLO business as a key legal advisor.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documentation.
• Partnering directly with trading desks, bankers, syndicate teams, and control functions.
• Identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks associated with structured finance transactions.
• Providing legal guidance on transaction structures, market developments, and business initiatives.
• Coordinating with external counsel and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Managing multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Serving as a trusted legal partner to the business while balancing legal, regulatory, and commercial considerations.
