Job summary

Principal Financial Group, Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist II for our Principal Custody Solutions team. The role involves handling complex securities and cash-related transactions, enabling efficient processing, reconciliation, and inquiries for internal partners and investment managers.

You will contribute to process improvements, train teammates, and provide reporting while operating in a fast-paced environment, with an option for in-office or hybrid work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in customer service, operations, financial services or business processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Efficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex securities activities.
• Differentiate, process, and reconcile transactions.
• Research inquiries and resolve customer complaints for internal partners, clients and investment managers.
• Review time-critical and/or complex documents.
• Coordinate situations involving multiple departments.
• Provide department level reporting using multiple sources.
• Handle day-to-day income and entitlements processing.
• Provide training and guidance to team members and assist with process improvements.
• Back-up other desks and work under minimal supervision.
