Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Service Operations Specialist in Minneapolis for a hybrid, full-time role. You will provide guidance across the team’s service experience, engage in projects, and support key controls and coaching.

Your work includes analytics, cost basis and tax reporting tasks, and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires 1–3 years in service or operations, an associate degree (or equivalent), and strong communication and MS Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in service or operations.
• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet minimum qualifications.
• Excellent documentation, attention to detail, and prioritization skills are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with Access/database applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine reporting and analysis, contributing to recommendations for cost basis and tax.
• Provide analysis within existing reporting models and suggest minor adjustments.
• Make recommendations based on reporting and analysis to meet objectives.
• Develop solutions for routine and less complex problems for cost basis and tax reporting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues while contributing to Lean process improvements.
• Assist in training current and new team members.
• Assist the team in processing tasks as needed.
