Job summary

B4Corp is seeking a Data Engineer in Chantilly, VA, to design, build, and evolve secure, scalable applications for Intelligence Community customers. You will work across the full software lifecycle with Python, RESTful APIs, Oracle/SQL databases, and Angular in an Agile environment.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph, 10+ years of enterprise software experience, and strong Linux/Unix skills. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise software design and delivery.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for backend development.
• Strong command of JavaScript and modern front-end practices.
• Expertise with Angular or comparable front-end frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs within distributed applications.
• Hands-on knowledge of Oracle databases and SQL development.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain applications in Linux/Unix environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable full-stack applications end-to-end.
• Architect and implement backend services using Python and modern frameworks.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for system interoperability and data exchange.
• Design and optimize relational databases for performance and scalability.
• Build responsive UIs with JavaScript, Angular, and modern front-end practices.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to shape technical approaches.
• Diagnose complex defects and performance issues to improve reliability.
• Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and SDLC best practices.
• Participate in Agile delivery and continuous process improvement.
