Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Principal Accountant/Assistant Sector Controller for the Maritime Sector. The role involves coordinating financial reporting across multiple units, reviewing EACs on various contracts, and ensuring timely close cycles.

Reporting to the Maritime Sector Controller, you will lead cross-functional initiatives and participate in audits, with a focus on process improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 12 years of accounting experience with Bachelor’s or 10 years with Master’s with comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
• Experience in monthly, quarterly, and annual close with tight deadlines.
• Experience in a complex ERP environment with reporting systems.
• Experience with internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with business and financial leaders across the sector.
• Coordinate and track financial reporting requirements and deliverables for the Maritime Sector to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate and review financial reporting deliverables for Maritime’s international units during close cycles.
• Review Estimates at Completion (EACs) on Contract types (FFP; CPFF/CPIF).
• Support process design, improvements, and audits across the segment.
