Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Operations (SecOps) Engineer in Austin, TX to lead security strategy for applications, cloud infrastructure, and engineering platforms.

You will build reusable security platforms and automation to scale security across software and AI-enabled systems, partnering with IS&T and Apple Information Security teams. You will drive security assessments, define scalable controls, and embed security into the software development lifecycle, including AI-assisted

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, cloud security, DevSecOps, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience leading security reviews, threat modeling, risk assessments, and remediation of complex distributed or cloud-native systems.
• 5+ years of experience in securing production environments in AWS, GCP, or another major cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for complex applications, platforms, and cloud environments.
• Serve as a senior security advisor to application engineering, DevOps, SRE, and leadership teams.
• Define secure architecture patterns and reusable controls across engineering organizations.
• Drive scalable DevSecOps capabilities including SAST, DAST, SCA, container security, and policy enforcement.
• Mentor engineers to raise security engineering capabilities across SecOps and development teams.
