Job summary

Apple Inc. in Austin, Texas is seeking a Senior Security Software Engineer to own the platform that manages baseboard management controllers across the datacenter fleet.

You will set engineering and security bar, control access and verification, and drive modern, standards-based management with other teams. You will design, code and secure a privileged service, review production code, and reduce risk in authentication, authorization and credential handling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with end-to-end ownership of a production system or platform.
• Deep proficiency in Go, with 5+ years writing production Go code.
• Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization at scale, including PKI, mTLS, X.509 identities and fine-grained access control.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, code and security of a privileged, availability-critical service.
• Write and review production code and remove risk in authentication, authorization and credential handling.
• Modernize fleet management and define secure out-of-band management across environments and firmware delivery.
