Job summary

Tala is an AI-native credit infrastructure company with a remote-first culture and hubs in Santa Monica, Nairobi, Mexico City, Manila, and Bangalore. We are seeking a Senior SecOps Engineer to design, implement and maintain cloud security on AWS, applying DevSecOps to automate hardening, vulnerability management, detection, and response for our customer-facing SaaS platform.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of security infra experience in AWS or similar cloud
• Hands-on with IaaS security: WAFs, SGs, EC2, EKS/GKE, S3, RDS
• Experience with CI/CD and shift-left security practices
• Cloud-native security, authentication, access management, API security
• Experience Python for automation is a plus
• Security certs (AWS, GCP, CISSP, CEH, OSCP) preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and implement defense-in-depth security for the SaaS platform in AWS
• Automate hardening, vulnerability management, logging and incident response
• Lead security architecture discussions with Product, Engineering and IT
• Deploy and manage native and third-party security tools (FWs, WAFs, IAM, Kubernetes security)
• Support incident response and triage during security events
• Leverage AI in security operations to optimize incident management
