Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks a Secondary Scheduling and Academic Support Curriculum Supervisor to lead the grades 9–12 master schedule and provide parallel support for grades 5–8. The role oversees academic support, monitors progress toward graduation, and coordinates interventions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in education and educational leadership preferred.
  • Experience within PK-12 educational system with complex scheduling responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of master scheduling systems, student information systems, graduation requirements, and course planning processes.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to equity, student-centered decision-making, and mission-driven education.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the grades 9–12 master schedule, ensuring alignment with instructional priorities, staffing, student needs, graduation requirements, and career pathways.
  • Provide scheduling support for grades 5–8 to strengthen alignment, continuity, and student transitions across the secondary divisions.
  • Collaborate with scholastic leaders, curriculum supervisors, CTE, GPS, teachers, and other partners to ensure students have equitable access to required courses, electives, career pathways, and academic supports.
  • Monitor students' progress toward course, credit, and graduation requirements, identify potential barriers, and coordinate appropriate academic responses.
  • Provide leadership for secondary academic support, including supports for students.
  • Partner with teachers and curriculum leaders to strengthen instructional and academic supports for students in the senior division.
  • Partner with Student Health Services, Scholastic, Home Life, Student Life, and GPS to coordinate academic and wellbeing support systems.
  • Analyze data to inform scheduling decisions, resource allocation, and student support planning.
  • Help coordinate academic supports for students transitioning from middle school into grade 9 and monitor progress throughout the high school experience.
  • Communicate scheduling processes, academic requirements, timelines, and relevant updates clearly to students and staff.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of systems designed to promote academic success, on-time graduation, career readiness, and postsecondary preparation.
  • Develop strong relationships with students and teachers and actively engage in the broader MHS community.
