Job summary

KBR is seeking a Lead Accountant, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to support external financial reporting and public company compliance. You will prepare and review SEC filings, ensure accurate disclosures, and partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and auditors during a pivotal separation period.

The role emphasizes applying U.S. GAAP to complex transactions and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities to enhance controls and reporting processes throughout the transition.

Qualifications

• Prepare and support SEC filings for a public company.
• Apply U.S. GAAP to complex transactions and disclosures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate external reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
• Coordinate collection and analysis for external reporting.
• Draft footnotes, disclosures, and supporting docs.
• Research and apply U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Support SOX controls and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors on quarterly/annual reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls.
