Job summary

KBR seeks a Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy, to lead external financial reporting, provide technical accounting guidance, and strengthen the company’s policy framework. The role partners with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Internal Audit, and external auditors to ensure compliance with U.S.

GAAP and SEC regulations. The role drives improvements to reporting processes, internal controls, and accounting policies across the organization, while leading and developing accounting

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience preparing and reviewing Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and related SEC filings.
• Demonstrated experience researching and documenting technical accounting matters.
• Experience partnering with external auditors and supporting quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and related disclosures.
• Research, evaluate, and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions; maintain policy framework.
• Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, Investor Relations, and external auditors on reporting and compliance.
• Support SOX compliance and strengthen internal controls within financial reporting.
• Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Mentor and develop accounting professionals; foster accountability and collaboration.
• Support acquisitions, financing transactions, and regulatory initiatives as needed.
