Job summary

KBR Careers is seeking a Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy to lead external financial reporting, provide technical accounting guidance, and strengthen the company’s accounting policy framework. This role partners with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and auditors to ensure U.S. GAAP and SEC compliance.

You will drive enhancements to reporting processes, support acquisitions and strategic projects, and lead a team of accounting professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and related filings.
• Proven ability to research, document, and communicate technical accounting matters.
• Experience with SOX controls and external audits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of SEC filings and earnings releases.
• Develop and maintain accounting policy framework and guidance for complex transactions.
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, Investor Relations, and auditors.
• Support SOX compliance and internal controls improvements.
• Drive process improvements in SEC reporting and financial close.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff.
