Job summary

Allient Inc. is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager for its Corporate Headquarters in Buffalo, NY. The role oversees SEC external reporting, including Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and Proxy procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing SEC filings, researching accounting issues, coordinating with auditors, and presenting to governance committees. Strong GAAP/SEC knowledge and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Masters and CPA certification heavily preferred.
• 6–8 years of accounting experience in a publicly traded company or large accounting firm.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews SEC financial reporting and related accounting issues.
• Researches and analyzes technical accounting issues and provides written conclusions.
• Assists in implementing new accounting pronouncements and compiles SEC reports.
• Performs monthly internal financial reporting and creates schedules.
• Leads preparation of audit schedules and coordinates with independent auditors.
• Presents to Disclosure Committee and Audit Committee; communicates with senior management during reporting periods.
• Coordinates with external auditors, legal counsel, investor relations and others regarding quarterly earnings.
• Provides expertise on GAAP and SEC changes; supports SOX compliance and audits.
