Job summary

Allient Inc. is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join our Buffalo, NY headquarters team. The role oversees SEC external reporting including Form 10-K/10-Q/8-K and other required filings, with responsibilities spanning research, consolidation, and annual reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 6–8 years in a related publicly traded or large firm environment, and strong GAAP/SEC expertise. Masters and CPA preferred; on-site in Williamsville, NY.

Qualifications

• US GAAP and SEC rules knowledge required
• Ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues
• International accounting and issue recognition experience helpful
• 6–8 years of accounting experience in a publicly traded company or large accounting firm

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews SEC financial reporting and related debt/equity accounting issues.
• Researches technical accounting issues and provides well-supported conclusions.
• Implements new accounting pronouncements and compiles quarterly and annual SEC reports.
• Performs monthly internal financial reporting and creates necessary schedules.
• Leads audit schedule preparation and liaises with independent auditors.
• Presents to Disclosure Committee and Audit Committee; communicates with senior management.
• Coordinates with external auditors, legal counsel, investor relations and others on quarterly earnings.
• Provides GAAP/SEC guidance and stays current on changes; supports SOX compliance and audits.
• Mentors staff for professional and personal growth.
