Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a fast-growing financial services organization in Irving, TX to hire a Senior SEC Reporting Accountant. This role focuses on building and enhancing the public company reporting function beyond routine filings.

You'll prepare quarterly and annual filings (10-Qs and 10-Ks), support SOX controls, coordinate with external auditors, and work with FP&A and leadership on disclosures and analysis. CPA progress and strong GAAP knowledge are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of public accounting or SEC reporting experience.
• Big 4 experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting concepts.
• Experience with SEC reporting, SOX, internal controls preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Qs, 10-Ks).
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes and disclosures.
• Research accounting guidance and memos.
• Support SOX internal controls documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and stakeholders.
• Perform disclosure tie-outs and XBRL review.
