Job summary

Ionetix is seeking a Senior SEC Reporting Analyst to drive public-company financial reporting and SEC disclosures. You will prepare filings, manage calendars, and support iXBRL tagging while researching accounting matters and collaborating with auditors.

The role requires a strong GAAP background, 5+ years in public-company reporting, and proficiency in NetSuite/SEC software, with hybrid/remote options in Lansing, MI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Five or more years in accounting, including financial reporting.
  • Public-company reporting experience with Forms 10-Q/10-K.
  • Experience researching technical accounting matters and creating memos.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office; NetSuite and SEC software preferred.

  • Prepare and support SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) and related disclosures.
  • Coordinate SEC calendars, deliverables, and filing requirements.
  • Support XBRL/iXBRL tagging and coordination with external providers.

  • Assist quarterly and year-end close and improve reporting workflows.

Job description

Join Ionetix as our Senior SEC Reporting Analyst to support public-company financial reporting, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, and technical accounting activities in a growing public company. This position offers flexibility of a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement, based in Lansing, MI.

In this role you will:

  • Prepare and support SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, financial statements, footnotes, supporting schedules, and related disclosures.
  • Coordinate SEC reporting calendars, deliverables, filing requirements, and supporting documentation to help ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Support XBRL and Inline eXtensible Business Reporting Language (iXBRL) tagging and coordination with external service providers.
  • Research U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC reporting matters, assess new accounting and reporting guidance, and prepare technical accounting analyses and memoranda.
  • Support accounting for complex or unusual transactions, including equity, warrants, stock-based compensation, leases, and financing transactions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and technical accounting advisers on quarterly reviews, the annual audit, and complex accounting matters.
  • Support internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), related accounting policies and procedures, and documentation of key reporting processes and controls.
  • Support quarterly and year-end close activities and improve financial reporting workflows, policies, and procedures.
  • Build effective working relationships across the organization and with external auditors, advisers, and service providers to support the Company’s financial reporting objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field of study.
  • Five (5) or more years of accounting experience, including financial reporting and technical accounting experience.
  • Meaningful public-company reporting experience, including hands-on preparation of Forms 10-Q and 10-K and related financial statement disclosures.
  • Experience researching technical accounting matters and preparing accounting analyses and memoranda.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and public-company financial reporting practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills and use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • NetSuite and SEC reporting software experience, preferred.
