Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Senior Accountant in its External Reporting group to prepare and file SEC reports and ensure GAAP compliance. The role involves data extraction from multiple systems, XBRL tagging, and supporting auditors in a hybrid in-office setting in Cedar Rapids, IA.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, at least 8 years of experience, and strong analytical skills with advanced computer proficiency.

• Advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Extracts financial data from accounting systems for SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
• Analyzes financial data for GAAP disclosures and SEC compliance.
• Maintains XBRL tagging and Workiva documents; supports external auditors.
