Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior SEC Reporting Accountant in Irving, TX to help build and enhance its public company reporting function. You will work across the SEC process, disclosures and controls, partnering with finance leaders to support high‑quality financial reporting.

The role involves preparing quarterly/annual filings, researching guidance, and driving process improvements in a fast-growing financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of public accounting or SEC reporting experience.
• Big 4 experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting concepts.
• Exposure to SEC reporting, SOX, internal controls or technical accounting preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Workiva or SEC reporting software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other public filings.
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, and supporting schedules.
• Research accounting guidance and assist with technical accounting analyses and memos.
• Support the development and documentation of SOX-compliant internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders during reporting cycles.
• Perform disclosure tie-outs, workpaper preparation, and filing support.
• Assist with XBRL review and validation processes.
• Partner with FP&A and leadership on variance analysis and reporting requirements.
• Support process improvements within financial reporting and compliance functions.
