Job summary

CesiumAstro seeks a Principal Accountant, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to own the company’s internal and external reporting, accounting policy, and compliance in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You will advise management on complex U.S.

GAAP matters and coordinate with auditors and legal counsel. The role covers quarterly and annual reporting, including 10-Q/10-K/8-K, with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent advanced certification.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting and technical accounting.
• Experience supporting audits in public-company or IPO-ready environments.
• Advanced U.S. GAAP knowledge and internal control expertise.
• Strong writing and communication skills; able to advise senior management.

Responsibilities

• Own and direct SEC reporting (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and related disclosures.
• Lead the financial reporting calendar across departments.
• Prepare and review financial statements, MD&A, footnotes, and schedules.
• Ensure reporting compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Research and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions.
• Lead implementation of new accounting standards and policy development.
• Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors.
