Job summary

Astro Digital seeks an experienced Controller / Accounting Officer to lead accounting, financial reporting, SEC compliance, audits, and internal controls. The ideal candidate is a CPA with public accounting and SEC reporting experience who can scale accounting operations for growth and public-company readiness.

Responsibilities include leading monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, preparing GAAP financial statements and SEC filings, managing audits, and mentoring the accounting team to

Qualifications

• Active CPA required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting background (National or large regional firm preferred).
• SEC reporting and public-company experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and oversee U.S. GAAP-compliant financial statements and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
• Manage external audits, technical accounting, and accounting policies.
• Oversee internal controls and SOX compliance initiatives.
• Support M&A, financing, due diligence, and strategic transactions.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team.
