Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for Detection & Response to design and implement logging, alerting, and automation across endpoints, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments.

You will build threat-hunting tools, triage incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate response while maintaining secure, scalable code. The role requires strong Python/Go development, deep OS/internals knowledge, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and container

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field; 6+ years of post-Bachelor security experience or higher学历 equivalents.
• Proven experience in one or more detection and response areas: forensics, malware analysis, incident management, host/network IDS, threat intel.
• Proficiency with AI tooling to streamline development and assess security risks.
• Experience with cloud-based services and infrastructure (GCP, AWS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design, pilot, and implement logging and alerting to detect malicious activity across endpoints, infra, networks, and cloud.
• Build tools and automation to improve threat hunting and incident response.
• Investigate events from alerting pipelines and triage incidents.
• Ship scalable services with a focus on correctness, security, and production readiness.
• Coordinate with multiple teams during incidents and drive response efforts.
• Analyze and fingerprint threat trends to build actionable threat intel.
