Job summary

Snap Inc. is hiring a Senior Security Engineer for its Detection and Response team in California. You will design and deploy logging and alerting to detect malicious activity across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments, and build automation to improve threat hunting and incident response.

You will investigate incidents, leverage AI tooling for scalable services, and collaborate with multiple Snap teams to drive rapid response and threat intelligence on evolving tactics and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IS or equivalent security experience.
• 6+ years of post-bachelor security experience; or 5+ with a Master's; or 2+ with a PhD.
• Experience in threat hunting, automation, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, pilot, and implement logging/alerting for detections.
• Build tools and automation to hunt threats and respond to intrusions.
• Investigate events from alerting pipelines and triage incidents.
• Use AI tools to ship scalable security services with secure code.
• Collaborate with Snap teams during incidents and drive response.
