Job summary

General Motors' Warren Tech Center seeks a Senior Product Engineer to lead seat core engineering and integration for vehicle programs. This hybrid role requires on-site work at least three days per week to drive design, validation, and cross-functional collaboration across suppliers and internal teams.

You will own DFSS-driven development, apply DFMEA/PFMEA, manage CAD workflows, and balance cost, mass, and performance to deliver seat variants that meet program milestones.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required.
• Minimum 5+ years developing mechanical components for vehicle programs.
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA and GD&T; DFSS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, analysis, and validation of seat subsystems.
• Perform DFSS-based development and cross-functional program management.
• Package components and manage CAD development with suppliers and GM designers.
• Balance cost, mass, complexity, timing, and content across programs.
• Apply benchmarking and continuous improvement throughout validation builds.
