Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Technical Expert- Static and Dynamic Sealing to deliver sealing for powertrain driveline systems. The role leads design reviews, publishes design requirements, and mentors D&R engineers globally, aiming to minimize risks through FMEA and robust verification.

The position emphasizes cross-functional leadership, manufacturing interfaces, and global supplier collaboration, with hybrid work and a leadership level 6 designation.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering.
• 10 years of design & release experience with powertrain/driveline systems & components, including launch.
• 6+ years of design & release experience with sealing-relevant components.
• Experience with CAE tools and methods.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and deep dives to balanced conclusions.
• Authors requirements, rules, methods and maintains design specifications for sealing components.
• Co-Lead technical peer reviews with component supervisors.
• Coach, mentor, and train D&R engineers globally.
• Own the sealing-related warranty spend and drive best practices across suppliers.
• Signoff ownership for System/Subsystem/Component before Chief Signoff.
• Provide technical support to Architecture, Core, and Applications teams.
• Develop interfaces with boundary diagrams and manufacturing processes for sealing function.
• Conduct benchmarking to optimize component design for future programs.
• Leverage CAE modelling to optimize quality and cost.
