Job summary

Trident Seafoods Corporation in Motley, Minnesota seeks a Food Technologist to develop new product formulations and lead projects through commercialization. You will collaborate with world-class food scientists and chefs on prototype development, product attributes, and specifications.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in food science, manufacturing, or a related field.
• A bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, produces and supplies existing or prototype product samples designed to meet target account needs.
• Performs bench top research and evaluation of new ingredients and product formulations.
• Evaluates and recommends ingredient/recipe components for functionality, cost and manufacturability.
• Leads multiple R&D projects with cross-functional teams.
• Designs methods to improve ingredient qualities and production processes.
• Creates R&D specifications and records testing data for ongoing projects.
