Job summary

SPX Technologies' Detection and Measurement group seeks a Sr. SDR Software Engineer to advance real-time embedded RF signal acquisition, processing, storage, and retrieval for spectrum monitoring and COMINT applications.

You will work on RF communications, implement architectures using the existing base and new development to satisfy customer and market requirements, with emphasis on robust C/C++ software and cross- platform support.

Qualifications

• We require FPGA co-processing experience and knowledge of spectrum signal processing algorithms.
• Extensive C/C++ software development experience and modern C++ standards.
• Experience with real-time multi-threaded embedded server software for multiple clients.
• Strong understanding of ADCs, RF receivers, and related metrics.
• Cross-platform development for Linux and Windows targets.
• TCP/UDP networking, socket programming, and SCI/SCPI control.
• GUI design and programming using Visual Studio and open-source tools.
• Ability to learn a large legacy C code base quickly.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and understand SPX's Embedded server architectures and contribute improvements.
• Modify and develop software to implement features and test performance up to system level.
• Provide technical support to product teams and customers for deployment and field issues.
• Contribute to QA testing and automated test programs.
