Job summary

SPX Technologies in Fremont, CA seeks a Senior Software System Engineer to develop RF signal acquisition, geolocation and analysis software for COMINT systems. You will implement architectures using existing bases and new development to meet customer and market demands, while mentoring teammates and collaborating with marketing and sales.

The role requires strong C/C++ and DSP skills, Windows development, and multithreaded real-time processing, with occasional travel to support field deployments

Qualifications

• 6+ years in C/C++ software development
• Extensive DSP and math background
• RF theory and practice (propagation, antennas, receivers)
• RF signals expertise incl. modulation, demodulation, decoding
• Windows programming and networking/socket programming
• Databases and SQL
• Ability to learn large C++ code bases
• QA testing and automated QA development
• Excellent communications and technical writing skills

Responsibilities

• Develop software for RF signal acquisition, geolocation and analysis systems
• Modify and extend existing software to support new features
• Test and qualify hardware components and perform QA analyses
• Create installation programs and update product documentation
• Support sales/marketing with technical literature and demonstrations
• Provide technical support to engineering teams and customers
• Stay current with new technologies and industry standards
