Job summary

1Finity is seeking a senior engineer to lead SDN applications on a modular VNC platform, focusing on Java/Scala, architecture, and data models for SDN controller functionality. You will drive end-to-end features, mentor the team, and collaborate across interfaces with vendors and industry forums.

The role requires deep experience in transport network management (DWDM/OTN/Packet) and hands-on work with Open Daylight, REST, and microservices.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in transport network management solutions development.
• Expertise in Core Java and Scala with data structures.
• Strong OOAD, design patterns, and UML modelling.
• Hands-on with Open Daylight (ODL) and SDN controller development.
• Experience with Netconf, TL1, Yang/JSON/XML modelling.
• DB knowledge: Oracle/MySQL/Cassandra.
• End-to-end SDN/NMS product development experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead SDN topology and southbound app functions.
• Lead Layer 0/1/2 SDN app functions on a SDN controller Network Management System.
• Participate in requirement analysis, design, development and maintenance of SDN controller components.
• Engage in technical discussions in Open ROADM forums and vendor interoperability challenges.
• Modelling domain using ITU‑T, ONF, MTNM standards.
• Accountable for planned execution and quality of applications.
• Investigate issues during System Test and drive resolutions.
• Coordinate with external SW vendors and monitor performance.
• Lead end‑to‑end features and guide the team.
