Job summary

1Finity seeks an experienced lead software engineer for the Virtuora Network Controller SDN suite. You will transform complex requirements into scalable software architecture, using Java/Scala to drive SDN controller functionality.

You will lead end-to-end feature development, mentor the team, and engage in multi-layer SDN applications across DWDM/OTN/Packet domains, with exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and big-data tools.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in transport network management software development (DWDM/OTN/Packet)
• Expertise in Core Java, Scala, threads, collections and data structures
• Hands-on with Open Daylight (ODL) and SDN controller development
• Experience with protocols like Netconf, TL1 and modelling tools such as Yang/JSON/XML
• Knowledge of databases Oracle/MySQL/Cassandra
• 2–3 full development cycles of Network Management System products
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Spark and distributed big-data systems
• REST API design experience
• Experience with Git, Gerrit, JIRA, Agile/Scrum
• Demonstrated technical leadership and end-to-end feature delivery

Responsibilities

• Lead SDN applications software functions in SDN Topology and Southbound areas
• Oversee Layer 0/1/2 SDN application functions on a SDN controller-based NMS
• Analyze requirements, design, develop and maintain SDN components
• Participate in standards discussions (ITU-T, ONF, MTNM)
• Moderate system test investigations, status, and resolutions
• Coordinate with external vendors for platform software
• Drive end-to-end features and technical leadership across the team
