Job summary

1Finity is seeking a lead software engineer for SDN applications, focusing on Java/Scala and SDN controller development. The candidate will transform complex requirements into scalable architecture and data models for SDN controller functionality.

Ideal candidates have deep experience with OpenDaylight, REST APIs, and distributed systems, and will lead end-to-end feature development across Layer 0–2 technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Transport Network management product development (DWDM/OTN/Packet).
• Expertise in Core Java and Scala with strong OOAD and UML skills.
• Hands‑on with OpenDaylight SDN controller and REST APIs.
• Experience with Netconf/TL1, Yang/JSON/XML modelling, and DBs like Oracle/MySQL/Cassandra.

Responsibilities

• Lead SDN applications in SDN Topology and Southbound functions.
• Oversee Layer0/Layer1/Layer2 SDN modules in the controller-based NMS.
• Participate in requirements, design, development and maintenance of SDN components.
• Contribute to ITU-T/ONF/MTNM domain modelling and vendor interoperability.
• Ensure end‑to‑end feature delivery and maintain quality.
• Monitor progress and evaluate external SW vendors for the platform.
• Drive architecture decisions and technically lead the team.
• Investigate issues during System Test and provide resolutions.
• Engage in Open ROADM forums and complex service modeling challenges.
