Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced software engineer for the NGN SDS team. You will design and implement production software for Kubernetes networking, Open vSwitch/OVN integration, and secure, scalable control planes that power NGN/GeForce NOW.

You will drive architecture discussions, perform reviews, and guide reliability improvements across distributed networking services while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes leadership, security, and high-performance networking.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of production software experience in C and Go, with Bash and Python for automation.
• Experience with Open vSwitch and OVN, including OpenFlow and control-plane-to-data-plane behavior.
• Production Kubernetes networking experience including CNI, network policy, upgrades, and failure modes.
• Strong Linux networking fundamentals and knowledge of IP/TCP/UDP, routing, and overlay networks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to define and evolve multi-tenant control-plane and data-plane architecture using Open vSwitch, OVN, and OpenFlow.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, production-readiness decisions, and mentoring.
• Develop and review production software for Kubernetes networking, network plugins, and distributed control planes.
