Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced software engineer to advance NGN SDS and Kubernetes networking. You will design multi-tenant control-plane and data-plane architectures, mentor peers, and guide production readiness.

The role emphasizes Open vSwitch, OVN, OpenFlow, and scalable distributed systems across Linux environments. You will work across Open vSwitch/OVN, Kubernetes networking, and secure APIs with emphasis on reliability, performance, and on-call incident response.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of proven experience designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining production software in C and Go.
• Bash and Python used for test, diagnostic, build, or automation.
• Experience with Open vSwitch and OVN including OpenFlow and control-plane-to-data-plane behavior.
• Production Kubernetes networking experience and network plugins, policy, upgrades, and failure modes.
• Strong Linux networking fundamentals: IP, TCP/UDP, routing, overlays, namespaces, and policies.
• Experience architecting distributed systems with secure APIs, state management, and failure handling.

Responsibilities

• Define, review, and evolve multi-tenant control-plane and data-plane architecture.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews and production-readiness decisions.
• Develop and review software for Kubernetes networking and network automation.
• Translate requirements into secure orchestration services, APIs, and delivery plans.
• Drive integration of Open vSwitch and OVN across flow behavior and upgrades.
• Build automated tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Share on-call rotation and resolve incidents with telemetry and debugging.
