Amazon.com Services LLC's Prime Video Personalization team is seeking a Software Development Manager ( SDM ) to lead a group of engineers responsible for the PV Homepage recommendations. You will own design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale personalization initiatives, collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to ship impactful features.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Responsibilities

• As a Software Development Manager, you will manage a group of talented SDEs and work with them on the design, implementation, and delivery of large technology initiatives for Prime Video Personalization on the PV Homepage.
• You will be responsible for leading initiatives, managing roadmaps, forward looking technical strategy, and designing/building innovative software solutions for our customers.
• You will need to be an excellent leader and bridge across various parts of Tech, Product, and business.
