Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Software Development Engineer for the Prime Video data platform. You will own data pipelines, personalization foundations, and ML infrastructure, collaborating with scientists, PMs, and engineers to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include translating requirements into concrete deliverables, designing platform services, mentoring engineers, and shaping technical strategy for efficient operations and innovative customer experiences.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
3+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience.
3+ years of big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience.

Responsibilities

As a SDE on the Prime Video Data Platform team, you will have subject matter expertise in big data pipeline architecture, data foundations for personalization & recommendation systems and world-class user experience for customers of our data & ML infrastructure offerings.
You will work with teams of scientists, product managers and engineers to translate business and functional requirements into concrete system deliverables.
You will have the opportunity to build new platform services from the ground up, driving the development of innovative approaches to personalization, and providing opportunities for scientists and engineers to invent and implement scalable ML solutions supporting new customer experiences.
