Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer to own data platform features and develop scalable data and ML infrastructure for Prime Video. You will collaborate across scientists, product managers and engineers to translate requirements into robust platform services.

You will mentor peers, shape architectural decisions, and help drive best practices across the team while delivering high-quality, scalable software for a world-class streaming experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• 3+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience.
• 3+ years of big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience.

Responsibilities

• Own data platform features from design through deployment.
• Collaborate with scientists, product managers and engineers to translate requirements into platform services.
• Deliver scalable ML-enabled solutions and mentor engineers on best practices.
