Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an Actuary on the Global Surety Actuarial Pricing team to apply analytical talents to pricing and underwriting decisions. You will own a core SDI pricing capability, collaborate with underwriting leadership, and contribute to SDI analyses that support profit, growth, and operational objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Associateship or Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS/FCAS) or comparable designation with relevant experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience.
• Advanced computing skills (MS Office Excel, SAS) with ability to build complex models.

Responsibilities

• Own the SDI pricing model — run, maintain, and improve the SDI pricing tool and enhance its methodology.
• Perform and review complex actuarial analyses for the SDI segment to inform pricing decisions and financial planning.
• Support the annual SDI reinsurance renewal process with analyses and insights for renewals.
• Contribute to broader Surety projects and analyses across the Global Surety portfolio.
• Serve as an actuarial advisor to the SDI underwriting organization and collaborate with leadership.
• Collaborate with peer analytical teams across Surety and GRS to ensure high-quality pricing and reporting.
