Job summary

The Chamberlain Group LLC in Oak Brook, IL is seeking an experienced SDET Level 3 to design, implement, and maintain scalable test automation across web, API, and mobile platforms. You will lead automation for user stories, define acceptance criteria, and collaborate with developers, product and DevOps to ensure quality from the start.

The role requires mentoring junior engineers and advancing QA strategy in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5–8 years of software quality engineering with at least 3 years in automation.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with Playwright, WebDriverIO, or Cypress.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs and using Karate or RestAssured.
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and cloud/microservice environments.
• Familiarity with Jira, TestRail/QMetry, Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
• Lead automation development for user stories and features.
• Collaborate to define acceptance criteria and test strategies.
• Develop BDD-style test cases with Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot failures.
• Validate RESTful APIs and build API automation frameworks.
• Conduct cross-browser and mobile testing on Android/iOS.
• Participate in code/test reviews, sprints, and Agile ceremonies.
• Summarize test results and contribute to Go/No-Go release decisions.
• Mentor junior quality engineers and promote a quality-first mindset.
