Job summary

Mujin US is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test to lead QA infrastructure and test automation across R&D teams developing Mujin software. The role blends design, implementation and collaboration to ensure Mujin systems are robust and scalable.

You will build simulators, drive test coverage across unit, functional, integration and end‑to‑end tests and mentor developers on quality practices. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software‑driven product development for industrial automation, robotics, or similar industry.
• Advanced programming skills in C++ and Python, Linux power user with Linux software development experience.
• Deep knowledge in networking, protocols, routing, async I/O, multi‑threading, IPC, and debugging distributed systems.
• Experience designing QE strategies and QA test plans for complex tech involving electromechanical devices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build systems for large‑scale, multi‑module software projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of robust systems, processes, and tools to elevate Mujin systems quality and reliability.
• Contribute test coverage, tooling, and simulators across a multi‑repo software ecosystem for robot control and fleet services.
• Shift‑Left quality engineering and test automation to incorporate first‑time‑right goals into design.
• Set up and maintain test automation frameworks and coach developers on leveraging them to find bugs faster.
• Design and implement simulators for industrial robots, sensors, and warehouse systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure system interoperability.
• Review code and provide feedback to drive continuous improvements in quality.
• Plan unit, functional, integration, end‑to‑end tests with dependencies and performance testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in deployed systems.
• Foster a quality‑first culture for timely delivery and exceptional user experience.
