Job summary

Blooming Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for a US-based remote role with EST overlap. You will partner with Engineering, Product, and AI teams to elevate test strategies and scale QA across a SaaS platform.

The ideal candidate brings deep test architecture expertise, hands-on leadership, and a track record in fast-growing environments, including AI-assisted QA workflows and secure data handling.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in software quality engineering, including test strategy, automation frameworks, debugging, exploratory testing, and modern QA methodologies.
• Comfortable contributing as an individual contributor while leading a team and reviewing architecture for quality initiatives.
• Proven track record delivering results in fast-paced startup or growth-stage SaaS environments.
• Ability to leverage AI tools and agents to improve QA productivity, including test plans, automation acceleration, and testing workflows.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, APIs, backend systems, and engineering tradeoffs; comfortable in open-source environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with Engineering, Product, and leadership stakeholders.
• Experience working with environments involving sensitive or regulated data and secure development practices.

Responsibilities

• Engineer Automated Tests: Architect, engineer, and execute tests that provide clear feedback and scale with services under test.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Build strong relationships across Engineering, Product, AI, and Customer-facing teams to balance speed, reliability, and user experience.
• Operational Excellence: Improve quality metrics in feature teams and across the engineering org.
• Secure & Compliant Development Support: Ensure engineering practices support secure software development and high standards around sensitive data.
