Job summary

NTT DATA Services in Plano, TX is hiring a Sr. SDET Engineer to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for web apps, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.

You will lead end-to-end test management and build scalable automation using Playwright, RestAssured, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG within CI/CD pipelines. The role requires extensive experience in test automation, databases, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Agile development with Jira.
• 5+ years testing distributed applications across the technology stack.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in Test Management lifecycle.
• 6+ years of strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, DB2, Postgres) and PL/SQL.
• 6+ years of strong experience in test automation design, development and execution using frameworks (RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, TestNG).
• 5+ years of CI/CD experience with GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for web apps, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
• Lead end-to-end test management activities including planning, estimation, execution, defect tracking, reporting, and release validation.
• Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java, Spring Boot, RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.
• Design automation solutions for functional, integration, regression, API, UI, and end-to-end testing to improve coverage and release quality.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, Developers, and DevOps to ensure quality throughout SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies using Jira.
• Design and implement automated API testing solutions with RestAssured, Karate, and others.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, SonarQube.
• Leverage Azure or AWS cloud platforms to support testing in cloud-native environments.
• Create and maintain detailed test docs, reports, automation architecture, and quality metrics.
