Job summary

Medtronic in Fridley, MN, is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to lead verification across web, mobile, and cloud apps. You will partner with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, build scalable automation, and ensure compliant software development throughout the lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers and advance testing practices, with a focus on risk-based testing, traceability, and auditable documentation in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience creating automated tests for production apps.
• Experience producing verification artifacts (test plans, cases, reports).
• Experience testing web, mobile, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with source control, defect tracking, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience in cloud and containerized environments; audit-ready docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and execution of automated software verification solutions across web, mobile, API, and backend systems.
• Define test strategies, verification plans, release criteria, and risk-based testing aligned with requirements.
• Develop and maintain reusable test frameworks, automation assets, and test infrastructure.
• Translate requirements into traceable test designs, cases, and evidence.
• Validate end-to-end application behavior across UI, APIs, databases, and microservices.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates.
